New Business Manager (JNB)

Job Description

We are looking for a Hunter - someone seeking new business and who has experience in Key Account Management. A person who can:
  • Identify new high net worth customers by looking for opportunities not only for the division but the entire Thompsons Group.
  • Find and develop new customers
  • Global partner implementation
  • Cold Calling
  • Compile Tender documents of existing and potential customer needs
  • Compile Tender documents and processes for New Business acquisition
  • Achieve Targets Set
  • Organization of workshops, site inspections & product knowledge sessions
  • Assisting in marketing awareness campaigns
  • Monthly reports and quarterly reports on targets set
  • Reports on new business acquisition 

Minimum Requirements

  • 3+ years previous Key Account Management experience in a corporate retail travel environment
  • Travel and Tourism qualification
  • Sales and Marketing qualification
  • Computer literate in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent geographic knowledge
  • Experience in working in a target driven environment and achieving personal sales
  • Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills  
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Proactive, problem solver and innovator
  • Strong sales background
  • Ability to analyse corporate accounts and present reports
  • Understanding of basic accounting principals
  • Must be a team player
  • Must have a driver’s licences and able to work outside normal working hours
  • Worked on Amadeus and /or travelled internationally
